AI Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Mountain View, CA; hybrid schedule with in-office work 3 days a week

What you will do

• Build production AI agents end to end, including LLM orchestration, tool use, MCP integrations, retrieval, and multi-agent workflows.
• Develop the trust layer for agents through evaluation harnesses, guardrails, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Design, ship, debug, and operate production systems that investigate real fraud and financial crime cases.
• Evaluate new models, techniques, and tooling, then turn successful experiments into product capabilities.
• Collaborate directly with founders, customers, banks, and fintech companies on product strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience shipping real LLM systems, user-facing prototypes, or substantial side projects.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to design, ship, debug, and operate systems end to end.
• Systems-thinking skills, including reasoning about data flow, failure modes, latency, cost, and scale.
• Experience with or willingness to work primarily with Python and AWS.
• Approximately 2–4 years of engineering experience, or an equivalent portfolio.
• Comfort with ambiguity, rapid execution, and zero-to-one product development.
