Finance Software/AI Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is a fast-growing, technology-driven annuity carrier startup within The Westaim Corporation’s insurance platform, focused on retirement security, digital experiences, and modern financial solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, internal tools, dashboards, and workflow applications for Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Actuarial functions.
• Build and integrate scalable cloud-based solutions with financial, operational, and third-party systems.
• Develop and deploy AI applications including conversational assistants, document intelligence, knowledge search, and workflow automation.
• Apply LLMs, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation to solve business challenges.
• Automate reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, document processing, and other finance and operational workflows.
• Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Technology teams while ensuring security, privacy, auditability, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• Strong Python skills and experience building enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Actuarial, or Wealth Management environments.
• Understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, accounting workflows, regulatory controls, or investment operations.
• Exposure to annuities, insurance products, policy administration systems, actuarial processes, or retirement services.
