Member of Technical Staff – AI/ML (Fintech)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or New York City, United States

Salary: $220,000–$350,000 estimated annual salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI applications and agentic systems for financial operations.
• Build tool-using LLM agents that surface insights, recommend next steps, and execute approved tasks.
• Improve invoice matching, payment reconciliation, and financial document processing capabilities.
• Apply, optimize, and fine-tune LLMs and RAG systems for document- and data-intensive financial workflows.
• Build reliable AI pipelines from ingestion through inference, including cost-efficient model routing.
• Implement golden datasets, tracing, regression testing, A/B testing, and continuous monitoring in partnership with Product, Engineering, Data, and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of AI/ML experience and experience shipping AI/ML products that solve real business problems.
• Production experience with agentic systems, including tool use, planning, state management, recovery, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience integrating and fine-tuning LLMs, building RAG systems, and training and deploying classical ML models.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML evaluation, including golden datasets, offline and online evaluation, statistical significance, and CI-based evaluations.
• Experience with LLM observability and MLOps fundamentals, including deployment, monitoring, A/B testing, and model and prompt versioning.
• Fluency in Python and modern AI/ML tools such as PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn, XGBoost, vLLM, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.

• Experience with model routing across providers.
• Fintech, B2B SaaS, or accounts receivable/accounts payable domain experience.
• Active involvement in the AI/ML community.
