Electrical Engineer

Salary: $110,000–$170,000 USD per year. Signing bonus: $5,000–$10,000, subject to experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and life-safety systems, for renovations, new facilities, and modernization projects.
• Perform load sizing and define service requirements for beneficial electrification projects.
• Lead electrical projects and contribute to design quality through QA/QC reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines on coordinated client-focused designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical and project development.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of electrical design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• New York State Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience with K-12, higher education, healthcare, institutional, or commercial projects in the New York market.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code, plus effective communication, organization, and time-management skills.
