Systems Test Lead (Robotics/Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, CA, USA with US citizenship or permanent residency required due to ITAR regulations. Relocation support may be provided.

Salary: $240,000 - $299,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and lead the Systems Test division, hiring and growing a team of test and simulation engineers.
• Drive full test plan coverage across all Autonomous Factory Systems programs from development to production release.
• Direct simulation test development modeling edge cases and off-nominal conditions.
• Set technical direction for test approaches spanning hardware sub-components and integrated manufacturing cells.
• Maintain hands-on technical leadership focusing on test architecture and engineering standards.
• Partner cross-functionally with hardware, robotics, and software teams to embed testability from design start.
• Define quality gates to determine system readiness for release.

Requirements

• Must be US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR authorization.
• B.S. in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; formal systems engineering training is a plus.
• 10+ years experience in systems or test engineering for complex electromechanical or robotic systems with technical leadership.
• Experience building and scaling test strategies for integrated hardware and software systems.
• Experience directing simulation test environments modeling system behavior and failure modes.
• Familiarity with robotics, industrial automation, or manufacturing cell environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with continuous integration/test pipelines for hardware-in-the-loop or simulation-in-the-loop systems.
• Background in functional safety, reliability engineering, or systems validation in manufacturing, robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
• Experience establishing new teams or functions within engineering organizations.
