What you will do

• Design foundational systems, including generation pipelines, data models, and evaluation frameworks for AI-native surfaces.
• Lead cross-team technical strategies to align product, AI, and infrastructure teams on architecture and execution.
• Establish engineering standards for AI product development, covering reliability, iteration loops, and system design.
• Translate ambiguous product opportunities into clear technical approaches and scalable execution plans.
• Influence engineering quality and product thinking across the organization to raise the technical bar.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to accelerate engineering velocity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex systems.
• Proven track record of owning technical and product direction for large or ambiguous problem spaces.
• Deep expertise in system design, specifically for data-intensive or distributed systems.
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong product intuition to balance user experience, system constraints, and business impact.
• Must be based in or able to work in Seattle, WA under a hybrid arrangement.

• Experience building LLM-powered features using prompting, evaluation, or RAG.
