Salary: $100,000–$175,000 per year, plus benefits and equity

Company

hirify.global develops risk-aware, reliable AI and robotics systems for deployment in complex, unstructured real-world environments.

What you will do

  • Integrate control systems, autonomy stacks, and payloads onto quadruped, humanoid, legged, and wheeled robotic platforms.
  • Build platform abstraction layers between native robot control stacks such as ROS/ROS2 and hirify.global systems.
  • Validate navigation, controls, and RL-based autonomy policies from Isaac, Gazebo, and MuJoCo simulations on physical hardware and varied terrain.
  • Collaborate with autonomy/RL, manipulation, mechanical, and electrical teams on mechanical and electrical interfaces, including saddles and power distribution boards.
  • Use SIL/HIL testing to validate safety, reliability, and operational performance across different operational design domains.
  • Support robot procurement, platform bring-up, safety qualification, charging and docking infrastructure, and field deployment logistics.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–9 years of relevant experience in robotics systems integration or related engineering work.
  • Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2, Python, and C++.
  • Generalist robotics software experience across controls, navigation, and systems integration for legged and wheeled platforms.
  • Working knowledge of motors, actuation, BLDC motor controllers, power distribution, electrical systems, and protocols such as CAN bus or EtherCAT.
  • Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, controls, and autonomy domains to make integrated systems function reliably on physical hardware.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating multiple platforms such as Unitree, Boston Dynamics, or Clearpath robots.
  • Experience deploying robots in construction, mining, oil and gas, or other demanding industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards including ISO 26262, ASIL, SOTIF, or ISO 21448.
  • Experience with whole-body control, impedance/admittance control, MPC, trajectory optimization, fleet operations, auto-docking, charging infrastructure, or teleoperation.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fully onsite collaboration with flexible working hours.
  • Full benefits, equity, and generous paid time off.
  • Work on field-deployed robotics systems for construction, mining, and oil and gas environments.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to evaluating candidates based on merit, qualifications, and performance.
