Staff/Senior Software Engineer (Autonomous Driving)

Salary: $193,930–$352,290 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build reliable, high-performance onboard software platforms for autonomous vehicles.
• Integrate autonomy software and algorithms across self-driving platforms in collaboration with software, hardware, systems, and safety teams.
• Develop systems and tools for continuous performance analysis, latency reduction, and resource efficiency.
• Create device drivers, inter-device protocols, pipelines, and runtime APIs for sensor and compute platforms.
• Define, evaluate, and integrate next-generation hardware with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Build tooling for continuous testing and validation of onboard hardware and software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience and a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics, or a related field.
• Strong C++ skills.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, computer architecture, operating systems, advanced algorithms, or highly concurrent and multithreaded environments.
• Experience with software performance tuning, optimization, profiling, or tracing tools such as perf, eBPF, Perfetto, pprof, or NVIDIA Nsight.
• Experience with robotics software frameworks, robotics hardware components, sensors, embedded platforms, or compute modalities such as x86, ARM, GPU, or FPGA.
• Strong problem-solving and programming skills.
