Software Engineer, Custodian Data (Fintech)

Location: San Ramon, United States. Must be work-authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $146,000–$172,000 typical starting annual range.

What you will do

• Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS-based services.
• Design, develop, and support scalable APIs, events, and distributed services.
• Develop data pipelines for data ingestion and enrichment.
• Contribute to architecture, developer tooling, automation, observability, instrumentation, and performance monitoring.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with product, QA, design, and engineering partners on mission-critical customer workflows.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-grade applications.
• Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with API development or event-driven architecture and an understanding of highly available distributed systems.
• Experience with on-call rotations, L2/L3 support, production debugging, observability, and performance monitoring.
• Strong automated testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, plus a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with data pipelines, reconciliation systems, market data ingestion, or fintech applications.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure patterns, Docker, caching technologies, data modeling, or schema design.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies or React.
• Experience owning systems with significant performance or scale requirements.
