Manufacturing Linux / Network Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across manufacturing plants, warehouses, cloud providers, and corporate sites.
• Implement resilient 10G and 100G switching fabrics using Arista, Juniper, and other enterprise platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networking, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, NAC, IDS/IPS, ISP failover, QoS, and traffic engineering.
• Deploy and maintain Red Hat and Rocky Linux servers using Ansible, MAAS, Foreman, and scripting.
• Monitor performance and capacity, maintain documentation and IPAM, and provide Tier 2/3 support for production-critical incidents.
• Partner with engineering, automation, OT, IT security, maintenance, and operations teams on greenfield and brownfield modernization projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in network and Linux infrastructure engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong Rocky Linux/RHEL administration skills, including DNS, DHCP, and NFS.
• Hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience and strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, OSPF, BGP, switching, and network security.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools, plus enterprise networking vendors such as Cisco, Arista, and Juniper.
• Ability to work on the plant floor and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours production-critical incidents.

Nice to have

• Python scripting for network automation, configuration management, and compliance reporting.
• Cloud connectivity and hybrid network architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with MES integrations, SD-WAN, industrial Wi-Fi 6/6E or private LTE, and ruggedized networking hardware.
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards, data center operations, and manufacturing facility network design.
