Network Solutions Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end connectivity for robotics deployments across Wi-Fi, cellular, routers, and customer private networks.
• Configure, test, recover, and operate field routers so robots remain connected and mission-ready.
• Diagnose coverage, interference, cellular, SIM, access-point, backhaul, DFS, and roaming issues on-site.
• Build monitoring and diagnostic tooling using connectivity telemetry such as signal strength, latency, and packet loss.
• Coordinate with customer IT teams to allowlist robot MAC addresses and connect robots to private networks.
• Convert field findings into engineering feedback, automation, connectivity playbooks, and deployment runbooks.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in field deployment, systems integration, network operations, or IT/NOC.
• Strong networking fundamentals covering Wi-Fi bands, channels, DFS, roaming, LTE/5G, APN, SIM provisioning, routers, access points, subnets, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and MAC allowlisting.
• Practical understanding of Wi-Fi coverage, interference, access-point placement, channels, antennas, and roaming.
• Strong troubleshooting across software, hardware, and networking layers.
• Comfort working with Linux, terminals, and SSH; willingness to use scripting for tooling automation.
• Clear customer-facing communication, self-direction in ambiguous field environments, and willingness to travel and work on-site with customers.

Nice to have

• Experience with network and fleet telemetry, dashboards, and logs.
• Field robotics experience or a background operating mission-critical systems in real-world environments.
• Python or Bash scripting experience.
