QA/QC Lead

TL;DR

QA/QC Lead (Software Testing and CSV): Establishing and operating a formal quality function for a healthcare communications product portfolio with an accent on test planning, automated and manual testing, UAT, traceability, and release readiness. Focus on building scalable QA processes, supporting Computer Systems Validation, strengthening audit-ready documentation, and improving confidence in regulated product releases.

Location: 100% remote within the United States, with opportunities for local meet-ups and approximately 10% client interaction for UAT activities.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Establish QA/QC operating standards, including test planning, defect workflows, UAT templates, traceability, and release readiness criteria.
• Design and execute functional, regression, usability, data integrity, exploratory, automated, and manual testing across product workflows.
• Build a pragmatic automation and regression strategy using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and test management platforms.
• Create UAT scripts, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, quality gates, and metrics for test coverage, defects, and release readiness.
• Support Computer Systems Validation activities, including validation planning, evidence capture, deviations, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Technical Project Management, Client Delivery, and external development partners to surface and resolve quality risks.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of hands-on QA, software testing, validation, or quality engineering experience.
• Experience testing software products, web applications, data platforms, CRM-like systems, analytics platforms, or configuration-heavy environments.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC practices, defect management, test documentation, and release readiness.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing, including test plans, test cases, UAT scripts, regression suites, and defect reports.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar systems.
• Must be based in the United States; regulated-environment experience and Computer Systems Validation knowledge are strongly preferred.

• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ concepts, validation evidence, deviations, traceability, and audit readiness.
• Experience building or improving a QA function in a growing product organization.
