Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in the New York City Metro Area or San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid)

Salary: $168,000 - $210,000

What you will do

• Apply trading domain knowledge and quantitative expertise to design and build scalable trade order management solutions.
• Collaborate on the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to design and implementation.
• Optimize and shape a tech stack leveraging AWS backend services for robust enterprise applications.
• Advocate for design best practices and mentor product engineers to deliver high-performing, secure code.
• Participate in the creation of developer-based automation to improve application quality and scalability.

Requirements

• Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on architecting new products.
• In-depth knowledge of Java or Kotlin and Spring/Springboot.
• Demonstrated experience with Design Patterns, OOAD, and SOLID principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex codebases independently.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience engineering in buy-side order management systems.
• Working knowledge of complex financial instruments and their valuations.
• Background in mathematics.
