Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

Salary: $194,000–$233,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop containerized microservices for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing cloud data, real-time events, and network telemetry.
• Design services, define architecture, present design decisions to peers, and deliver production-ready implementations.
• Own critical features and subsystems across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through deployment and customer adoption.
• Operate production systems and use operational experience to improve software supportability and reliability.
• Build code quality through developer testing and functional and integration testing.
• Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to refine requirements and understand customer problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
• Professional experience with Go and SQL, REST API clients, and Unix/Linux programming environments.
• Extensive API- or programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience delivering containerized services; the platform is based on Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of general TCP/IP networking; experience with networking and security controls is a plus.

• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Experience with networking and security controls.
