Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: On-site at the Sunnyvale office, United States

Salary: $170,000–$196,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop containerized microservices for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time cloud data, events, and network telemetry.
• Design service architecture, defend technical decisions, and deliver reliable implementations.
• Own critical features and subsystems across requirements, development, deployment, and customer usage.
• Operate production systems and use operational feedback to improve software reliability and supportability.
• Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to refine requirements and solve customer security problems.
• Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• 4+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
• Professional experience with Go and SQL, REST API clients, and Unix/Linux programming environments.
• Programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based containerized services and general TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with networking and security controls is advantageous; the role involves software subject to U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
