Product Owner (Data)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with two days per week in the office at hirify.global HQ in Osterley

What you will do

• Define and communicate short- and long-term product visions aligned with hirify.global’s strategy.
• Own and prioritise multiple product backlogs for Data Engineering teams.
• Translate complex or ambiguous business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead Agile delivery activities including PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritisation.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, communicate progress and trade-offs, and ensure each product increment delivers business value.
• Use feedback, metrics, and insights to improve product performance, quality, velocity, and team ways of working.

Requirements

• Experience in product management within complex, data-driven organisations and experience managing multiple backlogs.
• Experience establishing Product and Agile ways of working, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and building data products.
• Experience with Jira or other online workflow tools and iterative product development.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly proficient in PowerPoint for product vision presentations and storytelling.
• Good SQL knowledge, data literacy, and experience with Tableau or another data visualisation tool.
