Senior Staff Network Deployment Engineer

Salary: $225,000–$275,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Own the multi-quarter strategy for deploying network infrastructure across data centers, edge sites, and backbone interconnects.
• Author technical standards and internal RFCs for cabling, optics, fabric provisioning, validation, and operational handoff.
• Partner with Network Architecture to ensure network designs can be built, validated, and operated at hyperscale.
• Set the technical direction for ZTP, infrastructure-as-code, validation, and CI/CD tooling using Python and Ansible.
• Define burn-in, site acceptance testing, and commissioning criteria for zero-defect handovers to Operations.
• Lead vendor strategy, capacity planning, deployment programs, design reviews, and technical mentoring for Staff and Senior engineers.

Requirements

• 12+ years of network engineering experience focused on large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure programs.
• Experience in hyperscale, cloud, or ISP environments operating 10,000+ network devices and multi-region fabrics.
• Deep expertise in structured cabling, SMF/MMF, MPO/MTP, optical transceivers up to 400G/800G, and HPC data center power and cooling.
• Expertise with Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms, leaf-spine architectures, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP.
• Strong Python and Ansible skills, with experience designing deployment automation platforms and modern infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, plus strong program leadership and diagnostic skills using OTDRs, light meters, and packet captures.
