Supply Chain Manager (Robotics Hardware)

Location: Fully onsite at the Irvine, California office

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, plus benefits and equity

What you will do

• Ensure supply continuity across in-house and outsourced manufacturing operations for robotic payloads, assemblies, and finished systems.
• Develop sourcing strategies, determine order quantities, negotiate pricing, and align procurement timelines with demand forecasts and production schedules.
• Manage PCB fabrication houses, CNC and machining suppliers, contract manufacturers, RMAs, supplier quality activities, first-article inspections, and component qualification.
• Coordinate production schedules, material allocation, and new product introduction readiness from prototype through scaled production.
• Implement chain-of-custody, barcoding, asset tracking, purchase history, and cost-record systems for components, prototypes, and payloads.
• Provide supply chain metrics and reporting while driving inventory accuracy, supplier performance, forecast accuracy, and cost improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on procurement or supply chain management experience, including hardware procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and make-versus-buy decisions.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, inventory planning, demand forecasting, asset tracking, inventory management, barcoding, and chain-of-custody systems.
• Experience negotiating with vendors, PCB and CNC fabrication houses, and contract manufacturers, including contract terms, SLAs, and pricing agreements.
• Strong financial skills covering cost modeling, BOM cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, program management, finance, and legal.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling supply chains from prototypes or low-volume production to high-volume manufacturing across multiple vendors.
• Experience supporting robotics or other hardware deployed in industrial field environments, including autonomous vehicles, drones, or ruggedized robots.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or PLM systems, spend analysis, procurement KPI reporting, and product roadmap alignment.
• Knowledge of procurement contracts, export controls such as ITAR/EAR, and conflict minerals compliance.
• APICS/ASCM, CPSM, or related supply chain certification; familiarity with mechanical, electrical, sensor, LiDAR, actuation, or embedded computing hardware.
