Salary: $193,930–$352,290 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Develop and scale generative models, including diffusion architectures, flow-matching techniques, and energy-based models, for autonomous plan generation.
  • Build generative systems with foundation models, large language models, and world foundation models for reasoning, decision-making, and multimodal generation.
  • Optimize generative models with reinforcement learning, reward modeling, learned verifiers, joint prediction and planning, and self-play.
  • Develop controllable generative models guided by goals, conditions, and rewards.
  • Explore applications in active learning and world modeling.
  • Collaborate across autonomy teams and evaluate solutions by deploying models on the hirify.global Driver.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. preferred, or M.Sc. with 3+ years of experience working with generative models.
  • Research experience with generative models, particularly diffusion models, flow matching, and energy-based models for robotics, path planning, or autonomous driving.
  • Strong problem-solving and programming skills in Python and/or C++.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute as a strong team player.
  • Experience with research publications at leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, RSS, or CoRL.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vision-language-action models, reinforcement learning for generative model optimization, video generation, text-to-image generation, diffusion models for large language models, or world foundation models.
