Research Scientist (Generative Modeling)

Salary: $250,000–$325,000 base salary per year, plus equity awards

What you will do

• Design, implement, and train large-scale diffusion models for generating 3D worlds.
• Develop diffusion models with novel control signals, target aesthetic preferences, and efficient inference through distillation.
• Translate product requirements into technical roadmaps in collaboration with research and product teams.
• Contribute to data curation, experimentation, evaluation, and production deployment across the model development lifecycle.
• Explore and integrate new research in diffusion and generative AI.
• Mentor colleagues and drive best practices in generative modeling and machine learning engineering.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in generative modeling or applied machine learning.
• Extensive experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, particularly for diffusion and other generative models.
• Deep expertise in generative modeling, including pre-training, post-training, diffusion distillation, or conditioning-signal fine-tuning.
• Strong publication or open-source contribution record involving large-scale diffusion models.
• Strong Python coding skills and experience with GPU-accelerated computing.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers and cross-functional teams and translate complex technical concepts into actionable outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale model training, data curation, tokenizers, VAEs, long-context architectures, or 3D vision.
• Open-source contributions in computer vision, graphics, or machine learning.
• Familiarity with multi-node GPU clusters and distributed training environments.
• Experience integrating machine learning models into production.
• Experience developing or training large-scale, state-of-the-art generative models.
