Senior Applied Scientist, AGI (GenAI/LLM)

Location: USA, California — San Francisco or Sunnyvale

Salary: $192,200–$260,000 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Develop and evaluate Reinforcement Learning (RL) Gyms for frontier model advancement.
• Build techniques that advance the state of the art in large language models.
• Contribute to foundational model development through applied research.
• Leverage heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate LLM research.
• Support GenAI products and services that directly impact customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
• Experience with large-scale machine learning systems, including profiling, debugging, system performance, and scalability.
• PhD, or a master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
• Ability to work in San Francisco or Sunnyvale, California, USA.
