Salary: $155,000–$241,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Own a manipulation task vertical from definition through reliable execution on humanoid robots.
  • Develop behaviors using learned and classical manipulation approaches, including policies and primitives.
  • Run the learning-from-demonstration flywheel across data collection, operator instructions, annotation, training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Analyze logs, replays, state distributions, and failures to identify root causes and improve reliability.
  • Integrate learned policies with higher-level skills to execute complete robot workflows.
  • Collaborate with teleoperators and the ML team while evaluating manipulation and perception models.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Robotics, AI, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience deploying manipulation behaviors on real robots.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python.
  • Experience collecting robot data and training and testing manipulation systems on hardware.
  • Familiarity with areas such as grasp planning, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, force control, teleoperation, robot sensors, visual servoing, or object perception.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and work from the Fremont or Pittsburgh office on a hybrid basis.
