What you will do

• Build reliable, high-performance onboard software that integrates autonomy software and algorithms across self-driving platforms.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems and safety teams to integrate new software and hardware safely and reliably.
• Develop performance-analysis systems and tools, reduce latency, and improve resource efficiency across the autonomy stack.
• Build device drivers, inter-device protocols, pipelines, and runtime APIs for sensor and compute platforms.
• Develop hardware-agnostic onboard foundations and tooling for continuous testing and validation.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to define, evaluate, and integrate next-generation hardware platforms.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience and a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong C++ skills.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, computer architecture and operating systems, advanced algorithms, or highly concurrent and multithreaded environments.
• Experience with software performance tuning, optimization, profiling, or tracing tools and infrastructure.
• Experience with robotics software frameworks, robotics hardware components, sensors, embedded platforms, or heterogeneous compute modalities such as x86, ARM, GPU, or FPGA.
• Strong problem-solving and programming skills.
