Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Prenatal

Location: Union City, California; onsite position. Shift options are Tuesday–Saturday mornings or Tuesday–Saturday afternoons, with a 20% weekday PM differential and a 25% weekend PM differential.

Total compensation: up to $200,536 per year, including an hourly rate of $59.14–$86.97 with shift differential. Compensation varies by experience and leveling.

What you will do

• Perform clinical laboratory assays on pregnancy blood samples to support disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
• Conduct quality control studies and verify the accuracy of clinical data.
• Check, calibrate, and document the performance of laboratory instruments.
• Contribute to R&D, CLIA technology transfer, troubleshooting, training, and validation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
• 1–2 years of clinical laboratory scientist experience.
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License meeting CLIA Testing Personnel requirements is required; ASCP, CGMBS, or generalist licensure is required.
• Hands-on experience with manual molecular biology protocols, including DNA extraction and PCR.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Docs, Word, Excel, basic statistics, and familiarity with LIMS.
• Strong attention to detail, flexibility under deadlines, and effective verbal and written communication.

• Startup experience.
