Annual salary: $117,600–$218,400, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Design and implement advanced SystemVerilog language extensions.
  • Develop and optimize compiler front-end, intermediate representation, and code-generation components for the Xcelium logic simulator.
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and improve compilation speed and memory footprint using C++.
  • Architect compiler and simulator capabilities for complex AI chip designs and multi-billion-gate systems.
  • Prototype LLM-enhanced, parallel, and distributed compilation features.

Requirements

  • BS with at least 10 years of experience, MS with at least 7 years, or PhD with at least 5 years.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compiler development, EDA, or high-performance computing.
  • Expert-level modern C++ and deep knowledge of SystemVerilog or Verilog.
  • Strong understanding of compiler theory, including lexing, parsing, semantic analysis, and code generation.
  • Experience with multithreading, memory management, and cache-locality optimization.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of LLVM or similar compiler frameworks.
  • Python experience for internal tooling and test automation.
  • Familiarity with hardware verification environments such as UVM.
