What you will do
- Develop and implement pension policies, governance frameworks, and strategic initiatives across Group pension arrangements.
- Analyse legislative, regulatory, market, and industry developments, assessing impacts and recommending actions.
- Coordinate complex pension projects and change activities, managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholders.
- Support governance, risk, controls, business cases, implementation plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with trustees, advisers, suppliers, the Group Pensions team, and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
- Prepare accurate pension communications and briefing materials while sharing technical expertise and coaching colleagues.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing pension arrangements in a large corporate, trustee, or consultancy environment.
- Proven experience delivering complex pension projects, change initiatives, or strategic activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of UK pension legislation, governance requirements, and market practice across DB and DC arrangements.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, identify risks and opportunities, and develop practical recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, problem-solving, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while maintaining a strong focus on delivery and execution.
Nice to have
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, disposals, or benefit harmonisation projects.
- Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- Experience with Crown Dependency or international pension arrangements.
- Experience using emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions for continuous improvement.
