What you will do

• Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit planning documentation, including risk and control matrices.
• Design and execute audit testing across various operational areas, maintaining high-standard working papers in accordance with internal standards.
• Draft detailed audit observations and reports, proposing ratings for identified issues.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss audit results and agree on necessary business improvements.
• Lead and mentor junior audit staff, providing constructive feedback and performance appraisals.
• Collaborate within the audit community to share knowledge and optimize internal control frameworks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in financial services or internal/external audit.
• Deep understanding of Financial Services Group operations and internal audit functions.
• Ability to plan and undertake complete audit assignments without supervision.
• Proven experience leading and overseeing teams with different specialisms.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
