Director of Visual Content (Video, Photography, Motion Design)

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Visual Content Team across cinematography, photography, motion design, and visual storytelling.
• Set creative standards and ensure visual content consistently reflects the YouVersion brand.
• Partner with strategists, writers, designers, producers, and creative leaders on visual concepts and solutions.
• Lead cinematography, photography, and motion direction for major campaigns and high-visibility ministry moments.
• Build reusable visual systems and shot-language frameworks to scale quality and clarity.
• Recruit, direct, and develop contracted production crews alongside internal team members.

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in cinematography, directing, and visual storytelling, with working fluency in photography and motion design.
• Experience leading on-set environments and directing internal team members and contracted crews.
• Strong editorial judgment across narrative structure, visual tone, and emotional pacing.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and people-development skills.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in film, photography, or visual storytelling, including leadership of people, projects, or teams.
• High school diploma or GED required; a related bachelor's degree is preferred.
