Senior Product Designer (Mortgage)

Base salary: $148,750–$201,250 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design large-scale zero-to-one product experiences through research, prototyping, testing, and delivery.
• Define user experiences for homeowners facing financial hardship and build tools for mortgage servicing agents.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with user needs and business goals.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, legal experts, and stakeholders to deliver feasible, scalable, and compliant designs.
• Help evolve the design system and maintain consistent experiences across products and platforms.
• Mentor junior designers and lead initiatives across multiple delinquency product areas.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in user-centered product design.
• A solid portfolio is required for consideration.
• Experience designing digital products and balancing methodological rigor with scrappiness and creativity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, shape product-area vision, and lead cross-team initiatives.
• Strong user empathy, critical thinking, collaboration, and systems-level design skills.

Nice to have

• Startup experience.
• Familiarity with the mortgage landscape or financial systems.
• Experience with both consumer technology and enterprise software.
