Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office, including Mondays and 2 flexible days.

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 base salary per year plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Own complete feature development from initial design through production deployment.
• Build backend systems with TypeScript and Node.js and frontend experiences with React and Next.js.
• Integrate LLMs and AI capabilities into production applications.
• Design scalable architectures while balancing rapid delivery and technical debt.
• Collaborate with recruiting, marketing, and leadership stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Shape product direction and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript expertise and full-stack proficiency with Node.js, React, and Next.js.
• Backend-oriented experience with PostgreSQL, efficient queries, and schema design.
• Experience building and deploying serverless applications.
• Production experience integrating LLMs and AI models.
• At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments.
• Product mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to make deliberate speed-versus-scalability trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI prompting and AI coding assistants.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Background in marketplace or recruiting technology.
• Experience working directly with non-technical teams.
