Fixed Asset Accountant

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; on-site

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year plus bonus; restricted stock units included

What you will do

• Review purchase requisitions and orders for proper CAPEX versus OPEX treatment and reconcile capital expenditures by project AFE.
• Process and reconcile capitalizations, transfers, and retirements in the MRI Asset4000 fixed asset sub-ledger.
• Reconcile operational asset management tools, including NetBox, with the fixed asset sub-ledger and Sage Intacct general ledger.
• Prepare monthly and year-to-date PPE roll-forwards for consolidated and unconsolidated entities and joint ventures.
• Maintain deposit and Construction-in-Progress reconciliations and support property tax reconciliations and monthly accruals.
• Lead physical asset counts, book-to-floor and floor-to-book reconciliations, external audit support, and due diligence requests.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of dedicated fixed asset accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, CAPEX/OPEX classification, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
• Working knowledge of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, MRI Asset4000, FloQast, Coupa, LeaseQuery, and expert-level Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in data centers, energy, or heavy manufacturing.
• Experience implementing or optimizing fixed asset software modules.
• CPA license or progress toward licensure.
