TL;DR
ASIC Technical Program Manager (AI/semiconductor): Coordinating first-silicon ASIC programs across Physical Design, DFT, DV, RTL, and Post-Silicon teams with an accent on tape-out execution, RTL-to-GDSII dependencies, and external vendor management. Focus on identifying critical-path risks, managing synthesis respins and signoff cycles, and driving technical alignment across engineering and executive stakeholders.

Location: On-site in San Jose, California; fully in-person at the Santana Row office. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to San Jose.

What you will do

  • Coordinate technical programs across Physical Design, DFT, DV, RTL, and Post-Silicon teams.
  • Manage dependencies, handoffs, RTL release gates, DFT insertion checkpoints, ECO cycles, tape-out milestones, and signoff activities.
  • Manage relationships with EDA vendors, IP providers, and implementation partners, holding them accountable for timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify critical-path risks, schedule slippage, and cross-team blockers, then develop mitigation plans with engineering leads.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and required decisions to engineering leads, VP-level stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Facilitate meetings, resolve technical disagreements, maintain program tracking, and drive decisions across teams.

Requirements

  • At least one complete ASIC tape-out experience.
  • Strong understanding of the RTL-to-GDSII flow and the interaction between Physical Design, DFT, DV, and RTL teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a related semiconductor or hardware role.
  • Experience working directly with external EDA vendors or implementation partners.
  • Exceptional follow-through, proactive dependency management, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
