Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; office attendance five days a week

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end implementation and integration of Factory’s platform into customer engineering environments.
• Partner directly with customer teams to design optimized workflows, drive adoption, and build long-term partnerships.
• Act as the CEO’s primary technical lead for customer engagements, including frequent on-site travel and rapid resolution of engineering challenges.
• Lead special engineering projects that expand product capabilities and influence the product roadmap.
• Integrate new systems, troubleshoot critical issues, and make code changes across diverse codebases.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements while collaborating with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of software engineering experience, preferably at innovative AI or software engineering companies.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, programming languages, and software development practices.
• Broad technical proficiency and the ability to modify code across different parts of a codebase.
• Strong skills in diagnosing, debugging, and resolving technical challenges in customer-facing environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must work from the San Francisco office five days per week.
