NPI Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead new product introduction activities for autonomous vehicle hardware systems from prototype builds through pilot and production launch.
• Coordinate cross-functional readiness across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and supplier teams.
• Develop and drive build plans, manufacturing planning, and risk mitigation actions for new hardware programs.
• Partner with design engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and production scalability.
• Support prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT, and initial production builds by coordinating materials and issue resolution.
• Administer PLM workflows and maintain BOM integrity to ensure traceability across builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in new product introduction, manufacturing, or hardware launch support.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production ramp challenges, and DFM/DFA principles.
• Experience managing BOMs, engineering changes, and product data within PLM systems.
• Prior experience with Teamcenter PLM systems with the ability to diagnose and fix typical issues.
• Willingness to support infrequent domestic and international travel.

Nice to have

• Experience serving in a PLM Administrator, product data management, or configuration control capacity.
• Experience in automotive, robotics, electronics, or complex hardware systems.
