Director, Data Center Counsel (AI)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end legal strategy and execution for data center acquisitions and digital infrastructure transactions.
• Structure transactions that include financing components and manage deals throughout their lifecycle.
• Build and maintain long-term legal relationships with data center operators, lessors, financing sources, and off-takers.
• Negotiate high-value agreements covering colocation, powered-shell and build-to-suit leases, capacity reservations, development, connectivity, and related infrastructure.
• Advise on corporate structure and governance while collaborating cross-functionally to manage interdependencies and risk.
• Handle due diligence, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution related to data center transactions.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of direct experience with data center providers, neo-clouds, and/or hyperscalers on infrastructure transactions.
• Proven ability to lead sophisticated, high-complexity, cross-functional transactions.
• Deep knowledge of compute and digital infrastructure, including hardware specifications, data center operations, and power and utilities requirements.
• Experience with real estate and physical infrastructure transactions.
• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission required.
• Ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
