Head of Communications (AI/Automotive)

Location: Mountain View, California (HQ)

Salary: $160,360–$240,540 base pay annually, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

hirify.global is a physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology and a universal autonomy platform for robotaxis, logistics fleets, personal vehicles, and other mobility applications.

What you will do

• Define and execute hirify.global’s external communications strategy across technology, automotive, business, policy, and mobility audiences.
• Lead media relations and develop clear, credible stories from complex technical and commercial developments.
• Manage communications for product milestones, partnerships, demonstrations, events, announcements, and thought leadership.
• Prepare and coach executives and spokespeople for interviews, panels, podcasts, speaking opportunities, and other external engagements.
• Lead issues management, crisis communications, and rapid response to reputational risks and sensitive situations.
• Coordinate communications workstreams and stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Safety, Operations, Policy, Finance, Business Development, and Content, while managing external PR partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of communications experience, ideally in AI, automotive, or a high-growth technology environment.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills with strong judgment regarding clarity, accuracy, tone, and narrative strength.
• Strong media fluency and relationships across technology, automotive, business, policy, or industry press.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them for expert and non-expert audiences.
• Experience advising senior leaders through media opportunities, speaking engagements, sensitive issues, and high-stakes external moments.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, agencies, approvals, risks, and deadlines while remaining calm under pressure.

Nice to have

• Relationships with automotive, transportation, mobility, robotics, AI, or technology reporters.
• Background in autonomous vehicles or the broader mobility ecosystem.
• Experience with policy, regulatory, or public affairs communications.
