Senior AI Engineer (Generative AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and optimise enterprise AI applications, APIs, copilots, agents, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures, prompt engineering frameworks, vector search solutions, and enterprise knowledge retrieval capabilities.
• Integrate large language models into enterprise applications, business processes, and engineering workflows.
• Develop scalable cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and reusable AI engineering frameworks.
• Implement MLOps, observability, model evaluation, drift detection, performance monitoring, and AI safety controls.
• Partner with product, architecture, data, security, risk, and business stakeholders while mentoring engineers and supporting AI adoption.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with machine learning, generative AI, large language models, agentic AI, and decision intelligence systems.
• Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents and copilots, vector databases, embeddings, enterprise search, and knowledge retrieval.
• Strong software engineering experience with Python, Java, C#, or similar languages, including production applications, APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, enterprise integration patterns, API-first architectures, and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AI APIs and platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Azure AI, Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience delivering solutions in regulated financial services environments such as insurance, pensions, investments, banking, or asset management.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-scale AI production deployments, AI observability, and model monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, service design, customer-centred product development, AI ethics, and responsible AI practices.
