Senior AI Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Remote from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, or Uruguay; working hours aligned with U.S. business hours and U.S. holidays

Work with a U.S.-based commercial Property & Casualty insurance client covering Workers’ Compensation, catastrophe and earthquake coverage, reinsurance, and liability insurance.

What you will do

• Design, build, and implement Generative AI solutions using LLMs and modern AI tools.
• Develop AI Agent workflows and integrations for business use cases.
• Build and integrate APIs with Python.
• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure and AI services.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and secure AI applications.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, participate in technical discussions, and support client-facing conversations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software, cloud, machine learning, AI engineering, or similar roles.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, or related solutions.
• Strong Python development and API integration experience.
• Practical AWS experience and familiarity with LLM orchestration and AI Agent tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Llama, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and modern software development workflows.
• Advanced English and required Spanish; availability for U.S. business hours from Latin America.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, IAM, or CloudWatch.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, retrieval strategies, and prompt engineering.
• Production or near-production AI deployment experience, including MLOps, monitoring, observability, or AI governance.
• Experience in insurance, banking, fintech, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise systems, CRMs, ITSM tools, ServiceNow, or internal platforms.
