Folder Operator (6-12 Months)

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite production shift

Salary: CAD 20 per hour plus shift premium; health and dental benefits

What you will do

• Retrieve the correct orders according to the production schedule and process folded output according to job specifications.
• Perform quality checks to verify accuracy, sequential order, balance, blanks, headers, and priority VIP jobs.
• Set up machines, make minor adjustments, clean equipment, and place service calls when needed.
• Complete colour-coded tags, daily worksheets, service call sheets, and job sign-out and scanning procedures.
• Escalate quality or production issues and assist with other production duties and cross-training.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow environmental, health, safety, and security policies.

Requirements

• Experience operating MBO or BAUM folding machines is an asset.
• Experience in a digital print environment is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and mathematical ability.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge and a completed high school diploma or some post-secondary education are preferred.
• Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid Canadian work permit is required.
