Mechanical Design Co-op (8 Months, September 2026)

Location: Ottawa, Canada

Salary: CAD 25.50–35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop mechanical design solutions for circuit packs and optical plugs in physically dense and thermally constrained environments.
• Create mechanical part and assembly designs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Evaluate first samples and build prototype assemblies.
• Manage and maintain 3D printer equipment.
• Maintain engineering databases across a portfolio of networking platforms.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with 3D design tools, preferably Creo or SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical and mechanical design skills.
• Available for an 8-month placement starting in September 2026.
