CASS Analyst (Financial Services)

Location: Manchester, UK; hybrid working with a minimum of 50% of working time in the office each month, plus an initial period of full-time office working for new starters.

What you will do

• Deliver an annual risk-based CASS monitoring plan and perform testing of key controls.
• Identify, document, escalate, and help prevent CASS breaches.
• Maintain CASS risk and control assessments, policies, and Resolution Pack documentation.
• Perform root cause and trend analysis and produce management information.
• Support CASS training, change initiatives, internal and external audits, walkthroughs, and sampling.
• Work with operational teams to meet FCA requirements, including Consumer Duty and fair treatment of vulnerable customers.

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge of FCA CASS rules, particularly chapters 6, 7, 8, and 10.
• Experience performing process reviews and writing reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, challenge appropriately, and explain complex topics simply.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Completed or partially completed CISI CASS Level 3 qualification.
• Understanding of financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent workplace experience.
