DevSecOps Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; occasional travel to the DC Metro area may be required for onsite client meetings. Access from foreign locations and foreign IP addresses is blocked, and personal VPN connections are prohibited.

Salary: $89,649–$152,404 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, security scanning, and deployment.
• Integrate static analysis, dependency scanning, vulnerability checks, secure configuration, secrets handling, and access controls into the software development lifecycle.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools for secure and consistent cloud environments.
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
• Monitor applications, infrastructure, and pipelines; troubleshoot build, deployment, and environment issues across development, test, integration, and production.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to improve delivery reliability, documentation, and security posture.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• At least 2 years of DevSecOps experience, including security scanning and vulnerability detection in CI/CD workflows.
• At least 2 years of experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
• At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based deployment environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, container technologies, and cloud security principles, including IAM and secrets management.
• Ability to troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, and environment issues and collaborate across technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, container vulnerability scanners, monitoring, and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, or Splunk.
• Experience supporting automated deployments and release processes in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, or similar compliance and security frameworks.
• AWS, Security+, or similar cloud and security certifications.
• Scripting or automation experience with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
