Senior Software Engineer, Quality Engineering (SDET)

Building a next-generation decentralized exchange in partnership with SBI Group to bring Japanese equities on-chain through secure, transparent, and high-performance trading infrastructure.

What you will do

• Design and evolve the quality engineering platform across unit, integration, contract, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, shared libraries, test fixtures, developer tooling, and deterministic test data strategies.
• Develop AI-assisted quality workflows for test generation, maintenance, failure analysis, root-cause identification, and regression detection.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and optimize execution through parallelization, intelligent test selection, caching, and quality gates.
• Validate trading flows, order matching, execution, routing, fee calculations, settlement, and consistency across backend services, blockchain state, and frontend behavior.
• Develop load, stress, endurance, resilience, and degraded-condition testing for high-throughput distributed trading services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SDET, quality engineering, test automation, or software engineering.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality software and build scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong software engineering skills with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with Playwright or Cypress and testing APIs such as REST, JSON-RPC, GraphQL, or WebSocket.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and working with Docker-based testing environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across backend, frontend, blockchain, DevOps, and product disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience building quality engineering or developer-productivity platforms.
• Experience designing testing architecture for complex distributed systems and implementing performance or reliability testing with tools such as k6, Artillery, Gatling, or Locust.
• Knowledge of observability and production debugging with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Experience testing transactional, financial, high-throughput, DEX, trading, or exchange systems.
• Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, on-chain flows, order books, AMMs, liquidity pools, routing, and execution; Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
