Transportation Principal Engineer

Location: Rancho Cordova, California, United States. The role is listed as onsite and operates between office and field environments.

What you will do

• Lead roadway improvement projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design and construction.
• Manage schematic and PS&E plan preparation for roadway projects.
• Prepare project and task-order scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee roadway, highway, and traffic engineering design projects.
• Support business development, proposal preparation, and project pursuits.
• Coordinate with client account management leads to win work.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 15 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Ability to work in the Rancho Cordova office and field environments.
• Ability to perform occasional physical activities, operate a company vehicle, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.
