Mid-Level Python Developer (Backend) (Python)

What you will do

• Own backend features end-to-end, from schema design and API development through production deployment.
• Develop clean, tested asynchronous Python services and REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Integrate services with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy or SQLModel, caching layers, and asynchronous message queues.
• Use AI-assisted coding workflows for prototyping, boilerplate generation, test coverage, and debugging.
• Optimize query performance and maintain production reliability through automated testing and structured logging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads and client teams on technical specifications, code reviews, and iterative delivery.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python 3.11+, asyncio, typing, and REST API frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Practical experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL, and efficient SQL or ORM queries.
• Experience with automated testing using pytest, code-quality practices, structured logging, and Git workflows.
• Experience delivering code to production and working with Docker and basic deployment processes.
• Professional fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or other AI coding tools, or openness to adopting them.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM components, LangChain, or vector databases.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, modern package managers, linters, or formatters.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• German language skills at B2+ level.
