People Business Partner

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam; candidates must live within commuting distance of the Amsterdam office

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, and organizational health.
• Coach leaders on performance management, leadership effectiveness, feedback, development, and difficult people conversations.
• Lead complex employee relations cases, including performance improvement, conflict resolution, absence management, and sensitive exits.
• Drive People programs covering engagement, talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and performance management.
• Use people data and insights to recommend actions that improve engagement, retention, and organizational performance.
• Lead cross-functional People projects and partner with Talent Acquisition and People Operations across the employee lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or People Business Partner in a fast-growing international organization.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and managing complex employee relations, performance management, and organizational change.
• Strong coaching, influencing, stakeholder management, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Solid knowledge of Dutch employment law and HR best practices.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and translate people data into actionable business insights.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology, SaaS, HealthTech, or scale-up environment.
• Experience with modern HR systems such as Personio.
• Experience supporting international teams.
