Head of People

Location: Amsterdam or Sofia. Hybrid setup: after the first 3 months, work 2 days remotely and 3 days in the office each week. After the first year, the Digital Nomad Program allows up to 20 days per year working while traveling.

What you will do

• Translate hirify.global’s mission, vision and business priorities into an outcome-driven global People strategy.
• Build scalable systems for hiring, onboarding, performance, development and retention.
• Identify employee-lifecycle bottlenecks and deliver practical improvements with measurable results.
• Own talent attraction, assessment and retention while helping leaders develop high-performing teams.
• Use data, technology, AI and automation to improve decision-making and scale the People function.
• Support international expansion through employment structures, contracts, compensation, benefits and local compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and scaling data-driven People systems across the employee lifecycle.
• Strong commercial judgment, including ownership of People budgets, compensation and benefits structures, and salary benchmarking across multiple markets.
• Experience attracting, assessing and retaining exceptional talent in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
• Practical experience translating company values into leadership behaviours, expectations and everyday ways of working.
• Confidence working with senior leaders, challenging decisions with data and addressing performance or organisational issues.
• Ability to work from Amsterdam or Sofia in a hybrid arrangement with regular office attendance.
