Senior Software Development Engineer, Globalization (AI)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid working with an expectation of at least 50% in the office, typically three days per week

Salary: PLN 320,000–360,000 per annum

What you will do

• Own complex team-level software projects from requirements clarification through delivery.
• Build AI- and LLM-powered translation and orchestration tools, including model evaluation and quality guardrails.
• Develop localization infrastructure, translation pipelines, and internationalization tooling integrated with translation management systems.
• Design CI/CD-integrated locale rendering, text extraction, translation workflows, and pseudo-locale validation.
• Standardize internationalization frameworks and build static analysis and linting tools to prevent localization defects.
• Expand RTL, bidirectional, and transliteration support while monitoring and improving production reliability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience, including internationalization or localization engineering.
• Strong programming ability in Go and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React Native and modern web frameworks, or comparable experience with Java, Kotlin, or C#/.NET.
• Experience applying AI or LLMs in production workflows and making appropriate decisions about human review.
• Knowledge of internationalization standards and locale-aware formatting, including Unicode and ICU/CLDR-based libraries.
• Experience building localization systems and translation pipelines at scale.
• Experience with code reviews, secure coding standards, cross-functional collaboration, and technical mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping RTL or bidirectional language support in production.
• Experience with localizability audits, pseudo-locale validation, TMS platforms, ICU/CLDR internals, or XLIFF.
• Experience in fintech or another regulated industry.
