Engineering Manager, Merchant Tablet (Android)

Salary: $193,800–$285,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Lead the Merchant Tablet engineering team building Android and iOS applications for tens of thousands of merchants.
• Develop impactful features and scalable platform services, including an AI-powered chat interface for resolving live order issues.
• Drive engineering excellence through investments in Android platform quality, reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate with product, design, analytics, engineering, and S&O partners to execute the strategic roadmap.
• Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 9+ engineers.
• Recruit, retain, and develop engineers across multiple disciplines while scaling the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of people-management experience leading full-stack product teams.
• 2+ years of experience leading Android engineers.
• Experience selecting and adopting web technologies to improve testing and performance.
• Strong product sense, customer-centricity, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to work effectively in ambiguity.
