Senior Energy and Sustainability Outreach Specialist (Energy Programs)

Salary: $81,147–$137,949 per year

What you will do

• Serve as a senior, client-facing deputy project manager across federal energy and resource management projects.
• Coordinate project priorities, timelines, deliverables, staff, subcontractors, clients, and industry stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with building managers, utilities, associations, federal clients, contractors, and program partners.
• Develop outreach, communications, training, benchmarking, case study, webinar, event, and recognition materials.
• Support partner account management, data collection, technical assistance tracking, quality control, and program impact assessment.
• Research energy policies and contribute to regional and national strategies that increase participation in voluntary energy, water, and waste programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, public policy, environmental science, sustainable business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial, public, industrial, or multifamily energy, water, or waste programs.
• Experience supporting multi-stakeholder projects, coordinating teams or subcontractors, and managing competing priorities.
• Direct client or external stakeholder experience, including preparing materials and managing follow-up.
• Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Experience with commercial or public-sector buildings, energy efficiency providers, or industry associations.
• Experience with energy benchmarking, ENERGY STAR, DOE Better Buildings, Portfolio Manager, LEED, or voluntary partnership programs.
• Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, and Microsoft applications.
